Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil de Caracas — FCG, 20 de Maio de 2012

A FCG trouxe ao seu Anfiteatro a famosa Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil de Caracas que integra o plano de formação musical venezuelano El Sistema e que teve Gustavo Dudamel como um dos nomes mais sonantes à sua frente. Actualmente, o Director Musical da orquestra é o venuzuelano Dietrich Paredes.

A primeira obra que ouvimos foi a Sinfonia n.º 3 em Dó menor "com órgão", op. 78 de Camille Saint-Saens. Dedicada a Franz Liszt, foi estreada em Londres em Maio de 1896 sob direcção do próprio Saint-Saens, um compositor bastante apreciado em terras britânicas. Uma das suas mais marcantes características é a integração do órgão ao longo da peça, sendo que a última parte do 2.º andamento é de uma enorme beleza.

A segunda obra foi de Dmitri Shostakovich: Sinfonia n.º 10 em Mi menor, op. 93. Foi estreada em Leningrado em 1953 pouco tempo após a morte de Estaline, sob a direcção de Mravinsky. É uma sinfonia que marca o início do processo de reabilitação do compositor perante as autoridades do regime soviético e que exprime todas as capacidades sinfónicas deste enorme compositor. Está cheia de ritmos e tonalidades e destaca-se o carácter bélico do 2.º andamento.

Ouvimos de ambas as obras uma excelente interpretação, com uma orquestra muito equilibrada entre os diversos naipes e em que os diversos interpretes puderam demonstrar a sua qualidade, apesar da sua juventude, sob a batuta de um maestro experiente e que se mostrou muito entrosado com os músicos.

De notar a boa disposição deste conjunto de jovens músicos e a sua enorme qualidade. É difícil ouvir uma orquestra soar com a qualidade a que tivemos oportunidade de ouvir.

Já vestidos com as cores da bandeira da Venezuela, e após a interpretação das duas peças, ainda nos presentearam com diversos encores de autores latino-americanos, terminando em euforia com o Mambo do West Side Story de Bernstein. Demonstraram cabalmente como a música dita erudita pode ser muito divertida e como pode juntar os jovens em torno de uma actividade ao mesmo tempo exigente e lúdica. O projecto El Sistema é magnífico e deixou o público entusiasmadíssimo!

Youth Symphony Orchestra of Caracas - FCG, May 20, 2012

The FCG brought to us the famous Youth Symphony Orchestra of Caracas plan that integrates the Venezuelan music education system El Sistema that had Gustavo Dudamel as one of the most influent personality. Currently the Music Director of the orchestra is the Venezuelan Dietrich Walls.

The first piece we heard was the Symphony no. 3 in C minor "with organ," op. 78 by Camille Saint-Saens. Dedicated to Franz Liszt, it was premiered in London in May 1896 under the direction of Saint-Saens, a composer greatly appreciated in British lands. One of the most striking features is the integration of the organ along the piece.

The second work was Dmitri Shostakovich: Symphony no. No. 10 in E minor, op. 93. It was premiered in Leningrad in 1953 shortly after Stalin's death, under the direction of Mravinsky. It's a symphony that marks the beginning of the rehabilitation process of the composer over the authorities of the Soviet regime and that expresses the full capabilities of this great symphonic composer. It is full of rhythms and tones.

We heard from both works excellent interpretations, with an orchestra well balanced between the various suits, and that the various interpreters were able to demonstrate their quality, despite their youth, under the baton of an experienced conductor that was very mingling with musicians.

Please note the willingness of this group of young musicians and their outstanding quality. It is difficult to hear an orchestra sound with the quality that we have heard.

Already dressed in the colors of the flag of Venezuela, and after the interpretation of two parts, still present us with several encores of Latin American composers, ending in euphoria with Mambo from West Side Story by Bernstein. Fully demonstrated how classical music can be said a lot of fun and how young people can gather around an activity both demanding and fun. The project El Sistema is magnificent and left the public in high spirits!
